So richtig geil ist ja auch der Hypothekenrechner auf der linken Seite: Kaufpreis $10000, Anzahlung (seit wann das denn?) $2000, macht bei 30 Jahren zu 6.28% schlappe $49 im Monat. Das könnte man sich sogar überlegen…

Also sich für 500 USD ein Stück Land mit Bruchbude drauf zu kaufen, kann doch nicht so ganz falsch sein. Einfach 20 Jahre liegen lassen und schauen, was dann draus geworden ist…

Ich frag’ mich, sind diese Preise jetzt so extrem durch die Hypothekenkrise entstanden, oder ist das Ganze gar nicht so untypisch für “Bruchbuden” in Problem-Vierteln von Problem-Städten?…

Die Bevölkerungszahlen von Detroit haben ihre Spitze in den 50er erreicht — damals über 1,8 Mio. Einwohner. Seitdem sind deutlich mehr als 200.000 weg, aber ich bezweifle, dass die Hauspreise deswegen gefallen sind. Seit den 90er sind sie auf jeden Fall gestiegen, trotz Einwohnerschwund…
