Die Einzelhandelsumsätze in den USA (retail sales) haben im Juni enttäuscht: sie sind insgesamt um 0,9 Prozent zum Vormonat gefallen:
With weak demand for durable goods and falling gasoline prices, U.S. retail sales dropped 0.9% in June, the largest decline since August 2005, the government said Friday.
The decline was much larger than the 0.3% drop estimated by economists canvassed by MarketWatch. Revisions to May and April data were also negative on balance.
Excluding auto sales, retail sales last month dropped 0.4%, the biggest decline since last September. Economists had been expecting an increase of 0.2% excluding autos.
